The Weasleys et Alia

SPOILERS FOR HARRY POTTER AND THE- what? No spoilers? It’s a picture featuring characters from the Harry Potter series, and there are no spoilers?

So, I flung myself onto the bandwagon and decided to do my own portrait of the Weasley family from the world of Harry Potter. How hard was it to fit them all in one picture? You have to try it to believe it.

In the front row, from left to right, we start with Ron, who’s trying to look casual and cool and utterly desirable, but ends up looking a bit stoned. Things like that probably happen when you have Pigwidgeon on your shoulder. Beside him is Percy, who turned out impeccably for the photo, then forgot to look up and say "cheese" because he was studying the thickness of that cauldron. No, it’s not nice to laugh at him. At least, not too often. Ginny’s attention is in the right place, and she even got Arnold the pygmy puff to smile on cue. Molly’s looking off at something in the distance...what could it be? A vision of next year’s Christmas sweaters? A poster of Gilderoy Lockhart?

In the second row, Fred (left) and George (right) are more than interested in the baby dragon Charlie’s brought back from Romania. Apparently dragon blood has twelve useful properties, five of which can be incorporated for their joke shop. So don’t get too attached to the baby dragon. He’s cute, yes, but he went berserk before the photo was taken. At this point, Charlie (standing between the twins) is trying to calm him with a dragon kibble while the sleeve of his shirt becomes progressively shredded. Bill, on the extreme right, looks relaxed and is trying to figure out what on earth he’s supposed to be leaning on.

In the back is poor Arthur, rather swallowed up by the rest of the picture. Oh well, as soon as the picture’s taken the photographer has promised that he can take the camera apart. And who’s that up there? Great Auntie Muriel? It’s the family ghoul who lives in their attic. He just wanted a moment of acknowledgment.

And why not?
